Core concepts
A short tour of the words you’ll see in the dashboard, in your assistant and in the API.
Workspace
Section titled “Workspace”Your company’s space in Linnia (the API calls it an organisation). It holds your team, connected LinkedIn accounts, API keys, webhooks and the shared history with every person you contact. People join a workspace by invitation and have a role: owner, admin or member.
A seat is one connected LinkedIn account. A workspace has 1 seat by default. Starting a connection holds a seat for up to an hour while the rep signs in; if every seat is in use, Linnia says so and you can remove an account or ask Linnia for more. See Seats and billing.
Accounts
Section titled “Accounts”A connected LinkedIn account, usually one per rep, with a label (the rep’s name), a timezone and working hours. Linnia detects the account’s tier (free, Premium, Sales Navigator or Recruiter) and uses Sales Navigator features when they are there. An account’s status is one of connecting, warming, active, cooling, paused, reconnection_required or frozen.
How much the assistant may do on its own. Set it per account in the dashboard or with PATCH /v1/accounts/{id}.
| Mode | What happens to writes (invitations, messages, comments, posts…) |
|---|---|
| approve (default) | Every write waits for a person to approve it. Withdrawing a sent invitation and declining one don’t need approval. |
| assist | Every write waits for a person to approve it; the assistant only prepares drafts. |
| autopilot | Writes run on their own, within the account’s limits and working hours. |
Reads (search, profiles, inbox) never need approval.
Everything you ask for becomes a job. Reads run right away. Writes are queued and released one at a time by Linnia’s pacing engine (the Governor), so a job can be awaiting_approval, queued, scheduled (waiting for working hours or budget), running, then completed, failed or cancelled. Assistants and the API get the job back immediately and check on it later. See Jobs and polling.
Approvals
Section titled “Approvals”A write waiting for a person. It shows exactly what will be sent and to whom; the approver can edit the text, approve or reject. Requests expire after 72 hours. Approved writes still follow working hours and budgets. See Approvals.
Budgets
Section titled “Budgets”Each account has daily (and for invitations, weekly) limits per kind of action: invitations, messages, InMail, profile views, search results, comments, reactions, posts, endorsements, invitation withdrawals. Defaults depend on the tier and stay below LinkedIn’s thresholds; admins can lower them, or raise them up to a fixed ceiling. See Safety and limits.
Working hours
Section titled “Working hours”Each account acts only inside its working hours, in its own timezone (default Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30). Outside them, writes wait for the next opening (you can choose to reject them instead).
Warm-up
Section titled “Warm-up”A newly connected account starts with small budgets that grow about 20% a day over 15 days until they reach the defaults, so the account’s activity looks natural.
Health
Section titled “Health”Every account has a health level, from green to watch, caution and stop. When LinkedIn pushes back (a limit, a throttle, a security check), Linnia moves the account up the ladder and slows or pauses it on its own. See the health ladder.
