Connecting LinkedIn

Each connected LinkedIn account uses one seat. The rep connects their own account, ideally from the computer they usually use.

  1. In the dashboard, open Get started (or Accounts) and click Connect LinkedIn account. Give it a label, usually the rep’s name, and their timezone.
  2. Enter the rep’s LinkedIn email and password, and the country they usually work from. Linnia never stores the password; the LinkedIn session is held by Linnia’s LinkedIn provider.
  3. Complete any check LinkedIn asks for (see below).
  4. The account appears under Accounts with its tier, health, working hours and today’s budgets. Read its health report next: it lists stale invitations to clean up and the warm-up plan.

You can also start a connection from your assistant (“connect Emma’s LinkedIn”, the connect_linkedin tool) or the API (POST /v1/accounts/connect). Both return a link to the same Linnia page; credentials never pass through the assistant or your code.

LinkedIn often checks a new sign-in. Linnia shows the matching step:

LinkedIn asks for What to do
A code (two-step verification or a one-time code by email or SMS) Enter the code. Use Resend if it didn’t arrive.
Approval in the LinkedIn app Open the LinkedIn app on your phone and tap to approve. Linnia notices on its own; some prompts also accept a code instead.
A security puzzle (captcha) Solve the puzzle shown on the page.
A phone number Enter it with the country code, e.g. (+1)5551234567.
A pairing code Enter the code Linnia shows into LinkedIn.
Which contract or product (Sales Navigator, Recruiter) Pick the one the rep uses.
How to verify Pick a method, then follow the step it leads to.
  • The account starts a 15-day warm-up with small budgets that grow each day. Warm, specific outreach during warm-up builds the account’s standing; volume comes later.
  • It starts in approve mode: every write waits for a person. Switch to autopilot once you trust what you see. See Approvals.
  • Check its working hours and timezone on the account page. Linnia only acts inside them.

LinkedIn signs sessions out from time to time (a password change, a security review). The account’s status becomes reconnection required, writes stop, and the account page shows a Reconnect button that opens the same sign-in page. If you use webhooks, you get an account.reconnection_required event, and account.connected with reconnected: true once it’s back.

Removing an account on its page disconnects it and frees its seat. The workspace keeps its history (notes, timeline) for the people that account contacted.
